Schneider Electric disclosed on July 31, 2026 that it has agreed to acquire AiDASH, a satellite- and AI-powered grid-risk monitoring company, at a $350 million enterprise value, as part of its first-half 2026 financial results announcement. The deal is an all-cash transaction, and Tech Funding News reported Schneider Electric is buying approximately 90 percent of AiDASH’s share capital, a figure not independently confirmed by other outlets, which describe the acquired position only as a “majority stake.”
AiDASH uses satellite imagery combined with AI analysis to identify vegetation risk, storm damage and wildfire threats along power lines, according to ESG Today and Geoawesome. Utilities have historically relied on manual inspection cycles that can run four to five years between checks; AiDASH’s platform is designed to flag risk more continuously. Schneider Electric plans to fold the company into its Energy Management reporting segment and integrate it with its “One Digital Grid” platform, alongside existing tools ArcFM, ADMS and DERMS, strengthening what the company calls its Energy Intelligence position.
The Schneider Electric AiDASH acquisition builds on an existing relationship
Schneider Electric was already an AiDASH investor before this acquisition. Its venture arm, SE Ventures, put $10 million into AiDASH in 2022 and participated again in the company’s 2024 Series C round. The new deal converts that minority position into majority or near-full ownership.
| AiDASH funding event | Amount | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Series A | $6 million | October 2020 |
| Series B | $27 million | 2021 |
| SE Ventures strategic investment | $10 million | 2022 |
| Series C | $58.5 million | March 2024 |
| Schneider Electric acquisition (enterprise value) | $350 million | July 31, 2026 |
Series A investors included Benhamou Global Ventures and National Grid Partners, according to ESG Today and Tech Funding News. The 2024 Series C, led by Lightrock, also drew Sabanci Climate Technologies, Lightsmith Group, Marubeni, Duke Investments, Shell Ventures, G2 Venture Partners, Benhamou Global Ventures, National Grid Partners and Edison International, the same sources reported.
Frederic Godemel, Schneider Electric’s executive vice president for Energy Management, said in a company statement quoted by ESG Today: “Combining AiDASH’s differentiated satellite- and AI-powered vegetation, wildfire, storm, and asset management solutions with Schneider Electric’s portfolio, global footprint, and installed base, will create an end-to-end platform for critical infrastructure operators to improve grid reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency.” AiDASH co-founder and chief executive Abhishek Vinod Singh said the deal would let the company “bring our risk intelligence to utility operations and other critical infrastructure providers on a much larger scale.”
Lightrock chief executive Pal Erik Sjatil, whose firm led AiDASH’s Series C, called the deal “an important milestone for the climate adaptation sector,” adding that “adaptation receives only a small share of overall climate finance, despite the urgent need for solutions that protect communities, businesses, and essential infrastructure,” according to ESG Today. Tech Funding News reported AiDASH works with more than 140 utility customers covering over 500,000 miles of power lines, a figure that could not be independently confirmed against a second source.
The acquisition adds to a run of climate-adaptation and grid-technology deals through 2026. Winss has previously tracked the broader financing trend in climate tech venture capital funding, which reached $26.1 billion in the first half of the year, and in state-level programs such as the 481 grid modernization actions US states took in the second quarter of 2026.
About AiDASH
AiDASH was founded in 2019 and is based in Palo Alto, California, with additional offices near Washington, D.C. and in Bengaluru, India, according to ESG Today. Co-founders Abhishek Vinod Singh, Rahul Saxena and Nitin Das built the company around applying satellite imagery and AI to vegetation and storm-risk monitoring for utilities and other infrastructure operators, an alternative to multi-year manual inspection cycles. The company raised successive funding rounds from climate and grid-focused investors, including Schneider Electric’s own venture arm from 2022, before the July 2026 acquisition agreement moved AiDASH from strategic investment target to a majority-owned unit inside Schneider Electric’s Energy Management business.
