Meta awards nearly $2 million in AI Glasses Impact Grants to 30 US organizations
Meta named the recipients of its AI Glasses Impact Grants on July 27, 2026, giving nearly $2 million to 30 US organizations using AI glasses for good.

Meta announced the recipients of its AI Glasses Impact Grants on July 27, 2026, awarding nearly $2 million to 30 organizations across 18 US states that use Meta’s AI glasses for education, accessibility, workforce safety, agriculture and economic opportunity, the company said. The Meta AI Glasses Impact Grants program drew close to 500 applications after Meta first opened it in January 2026, with awards going to accessibility groups, language-learning developers, farm technology firms and workforce-safety organizations, among others.
The grants split into two categories: Accelerator Grants for organizations already using AI glasses to scale proven impact, and Catalyst Grants for developers building new applications through Meta’s Device Access Toolkit, according to Meta’s January 21, 2026 program announcement. Meta said it would award 15 Accelerator Grants of $25,000 and 10 of $50,000 depending on project scale, plus five Catalyst Grants of $200,000 each, totaling close to $2 million across the 30 recipients.
What the AI Glasses Impact Grants fund
The five Catalyst Grant recipients, who will integrate their applications on Ray-Ban Meta glasses later in 2026, are OurLife Labs, Proformance-AI, Immerse Inc., Onsite and Agerpoint, Meta said. Recipients focus on hands-free tools spanning education, healthcare support and skilled trades.

Among the Accelerator recipients, Proformance-AI (California) is building an AI copilot for roadside mechanics that delivers real-time diagnostic guidance hands-free, while Onsite (Michigan) lets field service contractors capture job notes, create estimates and get technical diagnostics without touching a phone, Meta said. Immerse Inc.’s language-tutoring app, one of the five Catalyst recipients, is backed by 48 academic studies, according to Meta.
Grant recipients will gather at the AI Glasses Impact Grant Celebration & Community Summit in New York City from July 27-29, 2026, Meta said. Catalyst recipients are expected to integrate their apps on Ray-Ban Meta glasses later this year. The program builds on wearable and immersive approaches already spreading through classrooms and training programs; Winss Solutions has previously covered how immersive learning and training tools are being adopted across education and workforce settings. Agerpoint’s crop-monitoring use case also echoes wider efforts to bring real-time data to farmers, an area where the UN Food and Agriculture Organization has run its own global smart-farming push since 2019.
About the AI Glasses Impact Grants program
Meta launched the AI Glasses Impact Grants program on January 21, 2026, to fund US-based organizations using its AI glasses, including Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta models, to create societal and economic impact, the company said. Applications closed on March 9, 2026, after Meta received close to 500 submissions. Meta selected recipients based on demonstrated impact, scalability and relevance to areas including accessibility, workforce safety, education, agriculture and economic opportunity. The program follows earlier Meta wearables initiatives, including a December 2025 Wearables Community Summit that drew more than 80 developers and innovators. With the July 2026 recipient announcement, Meta said it remains committed to supporting the 30 organizations beyond funding, through mentorship and community engagement as their AI glasses projects expand.
